At FEL Switchboards, all works comply with the current AS/NZS 3000 Electrical Wiring Rules, with reference to section 2.9 – Electrical Switchboards.
We design and fabricate all of our Electrical Switchboards to the AS 3439 Standards – Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies (Type-Tested and partially Type-Tested assemblies).
In addition to the AS/NZ Standards, we design, manufacture and comply with EN(IEC)61439-1/2. With reference to Type-tested Switchboards, switchgear and Form ratings.

As accredited Cubic Switchboard partners we use their Galaxy 3 software to design our Cubic switchboards. Using this no compromise switchboard design tool we can produce highly detailed drawings with access to heat rise calculations and fault characteristics. Through preliminary inspections during design we are able to do rapid modifications and variations to ensure compliance is maintained.
As Prisma partners we utilise the Rhapsody software. This software package provides extensive details on Prisma Switchboards but also switchgear, including: MCB’s, MCCB’s, ACB’s and their ancillary motor protection. Like with the Cubic software we are able to do rapid design alterations whilst also maintaining continuity amongst the Schneider gear.
Throughout FEL’s Engineering process, we use EPlan and AutoCAD, to structure the electrical wiring of the Project. This enables us to incorporate existing and proposed electricla systems into a design platform. Furthermore, we can either supply a standard cirucit labelling solution, or incorporate an existing system on site. The result is a smooth and seamless connection between old and new.
